In order to help raise awareness about the outstanding biodiversity of Bulgaria’s Rodopi (Rhodope) Mountains, to collect new data on the distribution and populations of rare plants and animals, and to help us raise funds to further our research projects and goals of preserving the local habitats and traditional rural way of life in the region, Wild Rodopi now offer a selection of unique wildlife conservation holidays in Bulgaria's Rodopi (Rhodope) Mountains. These exciting new wildlife conservation holidays have been designed to offer more than just a standard wildlife holiday in Bulgaria, by providing the chance to take part in highly rewarding wildlife research and monitoring activities whilst at the same time enjoying a memorable wildlife holiday with an excellent opportunity to observe and photograph some of Bulgaria's rarest and most beautiful flora and fauna. Not only will the research data gathered during the course of these unique wildlife conservation holidays in Bulgaria contribute directly to Wild Rodopi's wildlife research and conservation efforts in the the Rodopi (Rhodope) Mountains, but all profits from these wildlife conservation holidays will be used to help fund Wild Rodopi's research projects and help us conserve the wildlife and rural heritage of the Rodopi (Rhodope) Mountains. These one-week long wildlife conservation holidays are offered to couples, families, small private parties, clubs and societies, as well as school and university student groups wishing to undertake wildlife conservation fieldwork and research.

By recording the scats, footprints and feeding signs of brown bears, we will gain a better understanding of their distribution, movements and foraging behaviour in our study areas.
